Lee's family sent her from China to Los Angeles three years ago to be a waitress in a Chinatown restaurant and send money home to support her ailing grandmother. She lives with her bitter aunt, and endures terrible treatment at work, but feels trapped. Steve, a well-traveled engineer, enters her shabby restaurant by accident one day and is smitten by her. He works to bring her out of her misery and isolation in the short time before he has to leave for a job in China.

Three best friends got separated at childhood is united by a man to hand over a casino where profit should be shared equally. Problem starts when the MLA candidate who killed their father try to exploit them. They rather set out to hunt him down.

Chinatown serves as the location where a Communist agent has been killed after he has been caught stealing money. The money was collected from Chinese people living in America. The police chase many leads and suspects until the killer is caught through the efforts of an ex-policeman turned bus driver.

The plot concentrates around John (Bruce Ly), a policeman who reforms violent police officers by teaching them martial arts, and a trigger happy cop, Houston, played by Majors. Predictably enough, the two are paired together and they set out to find the person responsible for selling cyanide laced cocaine.

Yong is a member of a gang led by Eric. Yong had been raised by Eric since he left the orphanage. A martial arts fighter, Yong helps rescue Lily one day. She has an interest in her but his heart goes to his loyalty to Eric. However, when Yong does fall for Lily, he soon learns that Lily is the adopted sister of Eric. Things are complicated when rival gang boss Wong seeks revenge against Eric and Yong. Faced with these complications, Yong must choose: his love for Lily or his loyalty to Eric.
